About Kerry Taylor
I have been a registered nurse since 1992 and a midwife since 1996 and have worked in all areas of midwifery at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Worthing Hospital, including community, labour ward and postnatal ward.
I have worked independent of the N.H.S. since 2006 through a desire to work in a more satisfying way and provide a more personal level of care to my clients, and I love working this way. I have chosen to specialise in postnatal care as I have watched over the years as the N.H.S. has become strapped for cash, and whittled away the service they provide to new mums, and encourage discharge from the hospital as early as possible. As direct result of having my own child, I came to realise exactly how important a lifeline it can be to have quality support post birth.
As with all midwives, I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I am required to attend annual supervisory reviews and to keep my practice up to date by attending regular study days.
